Titanic Quarter Ltd officially launched its master plan in 2005. Since then the development has come to life with major commercial, tourism, residential and education schemes, re-energising Belfast’s waterfront and former shipbuilding lands.
Rooted in Belfast’s heritage, Titanic Quarter is a natural expansion and consolidation of the city. We are working to blend into existing communities through sympathetic planning and an access strategy that delivers new physical routes and cohesive urban inclusion.
The team delivering this vision for Belfast provide a wide range of local and international development experience, as well as other business and community interests.
Pat established a successful construction business in London in the early 1960s from which he grew a diverse property portfolio. His unique skill in evaluating opportunities and his judgement and expertise has been the driving force behind a 50-year career of successful development. Pat is also Chairman of Harcourt Developments.
Executive Vice Chairman
Conal has held senior management positions in the Irish Development Agency (IDA), developing business parks throughout the Republic of Ireland with the aim of attracting internationally traded companies. He is well versed in property development and business operations, spearheading the delivery of the £97m Titanic Belfast visitor attraction.
Nick is responsible for both Titanic Quarter's and the wider Harcourt group's financing requirements, banking relationships and cashflow management. He has previous experience of Corporate Finance, working for Chase Manhattan in London where he was actively involved in areas such as credit/risk analysis, mergers, and acquisitions.
A qualified Chartered Surveyor with over 20 years of experience in the property industry. Pat Power worked with a leading commercial chartered surveying practice in Dublin before joining Harcourt Developments in 1997. Pat is an executive director of Harcourt Developments and also on the board of Ivywood Properties, the holding company of Titanic Quarter in Belfast. He enhances the value of existing assets through rent reviews, re-developments and general property economies. Other areas include the evaluation and aquisition of new opportunities for the Group.
Mike Smith OBE
Mike Smith was Chief Executive and Managing Director of Titanic Quarter Ltd from September 2002 to May 2012. A graduate of Trinity College, Dublin and Queens University Belfast, Mikes 30 year career to date spans many of the key areas of urban regeneration. He is a chartered surveyor and chartered town planner. He was appointed Director of Development for Laganside Corporation in June 1989 and led the Corporation as Chief Executive from 1997 and moved from there to Titanic Quarter Ltd in September 2002.
In 2002 he was elected Chairman of the RICS and in 2004 was appointed Visiting Professor at the University of Ulster. He is currently Chair of the Real Estate Initiative.
He is an advisor to the East Belfast Partnership Regeneration Group and Chair of the Templemore Avenue School Trust. He is currently Chair of Cinemagic (an award winning International and Television Festival for Young People).
The Duke of Abercorn
The Duke, based in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, is a former Chairman of Laganside Development Corporation, the lead agency which laid the basis for much of modern Belfast's rejuvenation. He is also Colonel in Chief, The Irish Guards and President of the Royal UK Beneficent Association.
John Nicholl, BSc (Hons), FCA, is a Chartered Accountant by profession and is Financial Director for the Titanic Group. He trained as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in Belfast following which he joined Harland and Wolff in 1995 to develop the financial management of H&W’s then property interests.
He joined Titanic Quarter Limited when the company commenced operations in 2000. John has responsibility for all of the Titanic Group’s financial, banking, taxation and corporate governance matters.
James Eyre BSc (Hons) joined the team in Titanic Quarter Ltd in August 2006 and is responsible for the delivery of the Titanic Group’s development projects, management of the Group’s assets and the estate management of Titanic Quarter.
Prior to joining Titanic Quarter Ltd, James was a Director of McCormick Properties plc, responsible for the planning and implementation of both residential and commercial schemes and the management of the Company’s investment portfolio.
