The month of September will see the Rusty Nuts Charity Banger Rally being held, with all proceeds going to Action Cancer. This is the first time that such a rally has been held entirely in Northern Ireland.

This unique event consists of teams participating in cars which have been purchased for less than £500. There is no limit on the amount which can be spent after the initial purchase, but all vehicles must be road legal and teams are encouraged to embrace fancy dress and car decoration.

Running from the 12th to the 14th of September 2014, the challenge is to complete the 3 day event which covers over 300 miles through all 6 counties of Northern Ireland, whilst winning points along the way through challenges.

The 25 teams in the rally will meet at the iconic Hamilton Dock area of the Titanic Quarter Belfast. Leaving at 10.30am, teams will navigate through the County Down coast to Kilkeel, continuing to Co. Armagh and finishing at Todds Leap Activity Centre for an overnight stay.

Saturday 13th, teams will continue into Co. Fermanagh, Tyrone into Co. Derry/Londonderry for a mid stop at Campsie Karting Centre and then across the stunning coastline to Ballycastle.

Sunday 14th, teams will continue around the Co. Antrim coastline to Larne and cutting across to finish at Nutts Corner Kart Circuit for timed laps of the circuit and a closing ceremony.
